The Night Build Studio

Your ideas. Built in the open.

Bring a reference, a repository, or a rough idea. Nocta turns it into a working project, with the files, checks, and preview visible along the way.

Website and GitHub links in the text become references.

An illustrative loop: a project card comes in, each desk does its part — reference, plan, code, test, preview — and the crew ships it.

Studio walkthrough. Illustrative loop; hover or focus a desk to read what it does, click to open details.

Studio walkthrough — illustrative. Inside the app, the same desks follow real run events.

Studio walkthrough

Five bays, one build

Every run moves through the same bays. They are workflow stages, not separate agents: one orchestrator does the work, and each bay shows what it is doing.

Reference

Collects what the run starts from: your brief, a website, a repository or a screenshot.

Nocta reads the inputs before writing a line of code. Websites are rendered in a constrained browser inside the sandbox to collect visible text, a screenshot and layout observations. Repositories are listed and read within size limits at a pinned commit. Observed facts are kept apart from assumptions.

How it works

Visible at every step

The panels below come from a real run recorded on this deployment, the same records the workspace shows.

  1. 1

    Bring a reference

A written brief, a public website, a public GitHub repository or a screenshot. Nocta reads it before writing anything and keeps observed facts apart from assumptions.

  2. 2

    Guide the build

A plan is saved first. Then every file write, command and check runs in an isolated sandbox with real output. Tell Nocta what to change next in plain language.

  3. 3

    Inspect the result

Open the diff, the checks and the preview. Restore an earlier snapshot or download the source with its lockfile and README.

Capabilities

Practical, with limits stated

The first release targets React + TypeScript + Vite websites and browser utilities. Nocta does not reconstruct every application and never recovers a website’s private backend or source code.

  • Generate websites and browser tools

React + TypeScript + Vite projects from a brief: landing pages, portfolios, dashboards and small utilities that run entirely in the browser.

  • Understand repositories

Public GitHub repositories are listed and read at a pinned commit, within explicit limits. Explanations cite file paths and line ranges.

  • Implement features in supported projects

Supported Vite + React projects can be imported and changed. Unsupported frameworks are detected first and explained, not modified.

  • Iterate through chat

Each follow-up starts from the current snapshot, applies the change, records a diff, re-runs checks and updates the preview.

  • Inspect checks and errors

Install, typecheck, build and a browser smoke check run as real commands with exit codes and logs. Failures feed a bounded repair loop.

  • Export source code

Download a ZIP with the source, manifest, lockfile, README and build instructions. Secrets and dependencies are never included.

Workspace

The same components you will use

Stage tracker, checks, activity and the execution log are the real workspace parts. Here they show a real run recorded on this deployment: every line comes from persisted run events, nothing is staged.

Token

$NOCTA

The Nocta token on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). The only official source for the contract address is this page and the /api/token endpoint.

Contract address

Soon

CA: Soon

No contract has been published yet. When it is, the address appears here with its on-chain verification date, and /api/token returns the same value. Do not trust addresses from anywhere else.

Nocta runs offchain and does not require a token. No staking, yield, buyback or revenue-share claims are made. Nocta is not affiliated with Robinhood. Compute payments on Robinhood Chain are a planned roadmap item.

FAQ

Straight answers

What can I build?

Websites and browser utilities as React + TypeScript + Vite projects: landing pages, portfolios, dashboards with clearly labeled example data, small tools. Nocta is not a general application reconstructor; server-side systems are out of scope for this release.

Which references are supported?

A plain-language brief; a public http or https website, rendered in a constrained browser inside the sandbox to collect visible text, a screenshot and layout observations; a public GitHub repository, listed and read at a pinned commit within size limits; and an uploaded screenshot. Pages behind a login are reported as such, not guessed.

Can I download the code?

Yes. Download ZIP contains the source, package manifest, lockfile, assets, a README, an .env.example when the code references environment variables, build instructions and the snapshot identifier. Dependencies, caches, platform credentials and .env files are never included, and secret-looking values are redacted.

How does API usage work?

You add your own Anthropic API key in Settings. It is validated against the configured model, encrypted at rest and only decrypted by the worker when it calls the provider. Model usage is billed by Anthropic to your key. Sandbox compute has a separate operating cost. Nocta records tokens from provider responses and shows cost estimates with a dated price table, never an invoice.

What happens when a build fails?

The failing command output is sent back to the model for up to three repair attempts. If checks still fail, the run is marked failed, the files are kept as a snapshot, the logs stay visible and you can resume from the last checkpoint or edit the files yourself.

Is a wallet required?

No. Nocta runs offchain. When a deployment configures Robinhood Chain RPC access, you can optionally link a wallet with a signed message and see a read-only balance. Compute payments are a planned roadmap item; no payment system exists today.

Is there a token?

$NOCTA is the Nocta token on Robinhood Chain. Its contract address is published only in the Token section of this site and at /api/token; until it is, both read "CA: Soon", and any address circulating elsewhere is not ours. Holding it is not required to use Nocta, and no staking, yield or revenue-share claims are made.

Which project frameworks are supported?

Generated projects are React + TypeScript + Vite. Imported repositories are detected first: Vite + React (TypeScript) projects can be edited and built; Next.js, Remix, Vue, Svelte, Angular, monorepos and non-JavaScript projects can be explained but not modified in this release.
